Hi there, and welcome to our (virtual) office! My name is Chris Lovelady, and I’m an Immigration Attorney based in the San Francisco Bay Area and Tampa Bay. I devote my practice to representing clients nationwide, and specialize in individual representation with the emphasis on you, the client. I believe in working to represent your interest, while keeping costs reasonable for families and those just starting out in the United States.

My site contains information on my practice, and it gives you a sense of what fees to expect when I take on your case. I provide high-level, cost-effective representation. I do this because I believe in equality, and I know the future of legal representation is about information and client service.

The time now is one of action and opportunity. My practice is internet-based. I can provide all representation through this virtual office, and therefore can practice throughout the nation.

In today’s digital marketplace, lower cost can still mean excellent service. I earned my Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Florida and my Juris Doctor, with Honors, from Stetson College of Law. While at Stetson, I served as a Public Service Fellow, an Editor on the Law Review, and Chief Justice on the Stetson Honor Court. I have been a Member in good standing with the Florida Bar for 10 years and have worked in public service (Legal Aid and currently, a Professor in Ethics at St. Petersburg College) and private practice.

When not working on my practice, I have a life outside :). I live with my partner, Ryan, and we love to travel! We’ve been to Europe and Asia, and would love to see Latin America. I’m a big reader, so I enjoy combining my love for travel and books with language. I can communicate with clients in Spanish, Thai, Mandarin, and Italian.

I also have a passion for helping the under-represented. I was born with a genetic disease called Multiple Hereditary Exostoses. I also had cancer as a teen. These experiences influence the way I see the world, and they have given me the opportunity to see work and life from different perspectives. I maintain an interest in volunteering, and advocating, for those with other abilities in our country, and the world.

I come from a big family in St. Petersburg, Florida, and work with families throughout the country. I am passionate about immigrant rights, consumer fairness,  gay equality, and thoughtful advocacy. Contact me to talk more about my skills and how we can address your particular case.
